Excellent exercise to practice characters for HSK 1 level of Mandarin Chinese and to successfully face lessons for HSK 3.
Along the years of teaching Chinese language I have verified that many times students rely on the pinyin (phonetic transcription) and do not know the characters. The problem is that when they face the first lessons of HSK 3 they are lost.
The purpose of the activity is for students to become familiar with the characters that belong to the HKS 1 level of Chinese. It is especially recommended if you are getting your students ready for HSK 3 or you want to create a good base so that when they reach this level can successfully face the study of the characters.
I recommend that at the end of studying the HSK 1 level, this exercise is presented to the students so they may be more prepared. The characters are organized by frequency of appearance, which can contribute to a better understanding of the characters that appear the most in Chinese. The sheets can be printed independently, so students can gradually work on the different characters.
